Retaining walls for some of our clients has enabled them to solve the problem of managing a sloping site, whether they were installed for decorative purposes, or for more practical reasons such as providing a level area for sitting out or parking.
Other times, retaining walls can be used to add visual interest. By creating level changes within an otherwise flat plot, different focal points are created as well as possible areas for seating, children to play or storage.
We work with many different materials and have made walls from, amongst other things, brick, stone and timber – but all built to the same carefully calculated engineered standards, taking into account soil weight, gravity and water drainage.
According to a site’s needs, we can build walls that are stepped-back, cantilevered or with added anchors and/or pilings, adding steps, arches and bridges too if required.
