This was a garden build we undertook in Sevenoaks.
We were approached by our clients looking for a full garden build.
Having their old family home demolished making way for their ideal dream home and garden to be built on the same plot situated in the unspoilt countryside on the outskirts of town.
The plot of land is on a slight slope with the house at the highest point It was decided that once the old house was demolished, we would come and reduce the height at the top to sit the house slightly lower and to use the material dug out to help relevel the garden area as it was quite uneven.
Once the exterior of the house was built it was time for us to come back and start on the landscaping.
There was an existing wild pond which was removed and had to be reinstated as part of the build for wildlife which we rebuilt at the bottom of the garden using the large sandstone boulders that were initially dug out lowering the ground level for the house.
The paved areas were paved using a sawn sandstone which we had sealed beforehand to help protect the paving from weathering and staining.
Sawn sandstone’s smooth, precisely cut surface offers a refined aesthetic which integrates with various architectural styles, be they traditional or contemporary.
With its natural colour variations and textures, sawn sandstone adds depth and character to outdoor spaces.

Using clay pavers we laid patterned paths giving access around the house and connecting the paved areas, these same pavers also were used to add a border around the paving.
The clay pavers offer a charming rustic touch, crafted from natural clay materials these paths are not only visually appealing but also combine a sense of tradition and craftsmanship.
Each brick is carefully laid to form intricate patterns and designs creating a unique pathway and adding character and interest to the garden.
Beyond their aesthetic appeal clay paved paths are also durable and low maintenance capable of withstanding foot traffic and the elements for years to come.
The drive was tarmac and edged using a double row of granite sets that combine the durability of tarmac with the aesthetic appeal of granite, resulting in a sophisticated and long-lasting driveway solution.
The edges of the driveway are defined and reinforced with granite sets, providing a sturdy border that enhances both the visual appeal and structural integrity of the driveway.
The smooth sleek surface of the tarmac offers a clean and modern look while providing a durable and low-maintenance surface. Its resistance to wear and tear, making it ideal for heavy traffic areas such as driveways.
